the Council had installed facilities
for dissemination of Indian
Standard Time(IST) for all sections
of the people of Assam in collaboration
of National Physical Laboratory,
New Delhi under the sponsorship
of DST, Govt. of India. Council
had installed such sets of Tele
Clocks one each at Physics Department
of Gauhati University; Deputy
Commissioner's Court of Sonitpur
district, Karimganj Zila Parishad
and Dibrugarh University.
